What is FSC Certification?Â
FSC is a major global not for profit organisations aiming to protect sensitive environments, ecosystems, fauna and indigenous populations from harmful or illegal logging operations.Â
There are 2 parts to the certification process. Â
1)Â Â Forest Management Certification - confirms that the forest is being managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring it sustains economic viability.
2)Â Â Chain of custody certification - is how the forestry auditors verifies that forest-based materials produced according to rigorous standards are credibly used along the product's path from the forest to becoming finished goods.
